Climate

The climate of Samothraki is Mediterranean with relatively mild winters and cool summers. A main feature of the climate is the wide variation in weather from village to village because of the high altitude of the mountain and its geographical position since it receives the wrath of many winds. This is why on the one side of the island lull prevails, while on the other one storm prevails. So do not be disappointed if you do not like the weather in the area you are because you can go to another beach where the weather will be perfect!
